I'll love you tonight, if your lipgloss stays bright...
Before Punk, there were The Sadista Sisters. I don't know why I bought this album in 1976, but I have loved it from then until now. The Sisters (Teresa D'Abreu, Jude Alderson, Linda Marlowe and Jacky Taylor)) had a stage show. It seems to have been pretty feminist and radical for the day. Tracks like "Baby Doll" and "Decadent Taint" still sound fantastic. I recently manged to contact Judith Alderson, who said there is a possibility of the show being revived. Wow! I'll be there in the front row singing along. Sadly, she also told me that Teresa D'Abreu died too young. I was so sorry to hear this, but her voice lives on in vinyl.Long live The Sadista Sisters!

Meddlesome legislators...black market it is then...
Herbal drug crackdown indeed...does that mean I am not allowed to make Sloe gin, or grow my own lettuce for the purposes of mild self-medication? I reckon this is where the internet becomes the friend of free-spirits in it's electrical borderlessness and a haven for those of us who demand self-determined choice over our lifestyles and the ability to take responsibility for the consequent consequences. Bah! Meddling beaurocrats...don't we just love the suckers.

Sloe Gin...

Living in Hastings and having wonderful countryside on the doorstep influences....
Went out with my pal Su and collected a fraction of this year's BUMPER sloe crop in order to make Sloe Gin (yes, I'm going potty folks). Included here my design for the bottle labels when I decant the gin in three months time. Just noticed Gordon's of Gin fame are selling Sloe Gin. I also took the chance to make Blackberry Vodka, and Blackberry Rum. I'm not an alcoholic, honest...but I am very, very potty...
